Achieving a tasty granola that's low in sugar is no mean feat. But after hours and hours in the kitchen, we found a way. The secret? Chicory root! You've probably heard of it - but you might not be used to finding it in your breakfast bowl. Chicory root adds natural sweetness, which has helped us to develop a granola that has less than 5% sugar. It also helps to boost the fibre content.
HOW IT'S MADE…
Using only British wholegrain jumbo oats, we slow bake our granola in small batches at a low temperature - to achieve a deliciously toasted & nutty taste.
HOW WE LIKE IT…
We love it folded into natural Greek yoghurt but it's also great with milk, as a dessert topping or if you can't resist… straight from the pack!
THE MOMA OF ALL OATS
We use only British Wholegrain Jumbo Oats in our granola, which means they contain all 3 parts of the grain, keeping all of their natural goodness.
They are high in fibre, in particular soluble fibre which is good for the digestive system. The soluble fibre is called beta-glucan which has been shown to reduce blood cholesterol*.
Each serving (45g) of our cacao, coconut & ginger granola provides 1.3g of beta glucan from oats which is 45% of the suggested daily amount.
*Oat beta-glucan is a soluble fibre which has been shown to reduce blood cholesterol. High cholesterol is a risk factor in the development of coronary heart disease.
